These answers are general guidance. Individual care needs, availability, therapy coverage, and benefit eligibility can vary, so our team can help you review the details for your family.
What types of senior living does The Canopy offer?+
The Canopy offers Assisted Living, Memory Care, Respite Care, and short-term recovery support for individuals whose needs can be safely met within our licensed assisted living setting.
How do Assisted Living and Memory Care differ?+
Assisted Living supports residents who may need help with daily activities while maintaining as much independence as possible. Memory Care provides a more structured and supportive setting for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
Do you offer private and companion rooms?+
Yes. Private and companion living options are available in both Assisted Living and Memory Care based on current availability. Companion living can offer exceptional value while preserving the same Canopy services, hospitality, meals, activities, and support.
Can I see the floor plans before scheduling a visit?+
Yes. Our Floor Plans page includes the current Assisted Living and Memory Care layouts, including the Hampton, Houston, Grande, Augustine, Warner, and Bonaire plans.
Do you offer respite stays?+
Yes. Respite stays are available for caregiver relief, family travel, transition support, trial stays, and other short-term needs. Our current respite special is $100 per day with a 30-day minimum stay, subject to availability and appropriateness of care needs.
Can someone stay at The Canopy after a hospital or rehabilitation stay?+
In some cases, yes. The Canopy can support short-term recovery when a resident is appropriate for assisted living and does not require skilled nursing or inpatient rehabilitation. Support may include assistance with daily activities, medication management, transportation, therapy access, meals, and 24/7 team availability.
Is The Canopy a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation center?+
No. The Canopy is an assisted living community and is not a skilled nursing facility or inpatient rehabilitation center. Short-term recovery stays are appropriate only when the resident’s needs can safely be met within our licensed level of care.
Are physical, occupational, and speech therapy available?+
Therapy access may include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy when clinically appropriate. Services and frequency depend on individual needs and the treating provider.
Does Medicare Part B cover therapy at The Canopy?+
Therapy services may be covered by Medicare Part B when medically necessary and when the resident is eligible. Coverage is determined by Medicare and the treating provider; The Canopy does not guarantee coverage.
What is included in daily life at The Canopy?+
Daily life may include fresh home-cooked meals, activities and events, wellness opportunities, comfortable gathering spaces, personalized support, housekeeping assistance, and access to other community amenities.
Do you serve fresh meals on site?+
