Meet Heather
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Heather brings over 15 years of nursing experience specializing in geriatrics, with a diverse background in skilled nursing, home health, and assisted living. She began her journey at The Canopy as Director of Health and Wellness and, within six months, transitioned into the role of Executive Director.

With her extensive clinical background, strong leadership skills, and passion for senior care, Heather is dedicated to maintaining high standards of resident care, building a dependable team, and creating an environment where residents feel safe, valued, and at home.
She takes pride in fostering meaningful relationships with residents, families, and community partners while continuing to elevate the senior living experience.

Keisha
Wellness Director
Keisha has been a dedicated member of The Canopy team since 2022, beginning her journey as a caregiver. Through her commitment to resident care, dependability, and leadership, she advanced to Wellness Director.

Edwin
Director of Therapy & Rehab
Edwin brings 18 years of physical therapy experience, beginning his career in the military; he is now a retired veteran. He earned his Associate’s and Master’s degrees from South University and Bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University, specializing in orthopedics, geriatrics, rehabilitation, and corrective exercise science.

A fitness enthusiast, Edwin leads the Select Rehabilitation therapy program and developed the Pathways to Cognition program, promoting cognitive stimulation and engagement among residents. His work is dedicated to mobility, independence, and quality of life.
Marquis
Culinary Director
Marquis joined The Canopy in 2024 as a Line Cook. With his passion for food, dedication, and strong work ethic, he advanced to Assistant Culinary Director and became Culinary Director in 2025.

He brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a welcoming personality to dining. He takes pride in home-cooked meals while following dietary guidelines, food safety regulations, and residents’ physician-ordered dietary needs. He believes great food brings people together.
Richard
Business Office Manager
Richard keeps The Canopy’s business operations running smoothly, overseeing essential administrative and financial responsibilities while supporting residents, families, and team members.

Jaime
Environmental Services Director
Jaime has been part of The Canopy team since July 2023, overseeing the community’s maintenance, cleanliness, and overall upkeep. His attention to detail helps ensure a welcoming, well-maintained environment that meets applicable safety and regulatory standards.

Aleria
Administrative Assistant
Aleria joined The Canopy in 2025 in Housekeeping. Her organizational skills, dependability, work ethic, and outstanding customer service soon earned her the role of Administrative Assistant.
